Specially Made with Pride: TVL leads SHS Exhibit



SDO 1 Pangasinan takes pride as it showcases the skills and competence of TVL teachers and students in the 1st Senior High School Exhibit at the Sison Auditorium grounds. 

       The first day of the exhibit features the unique products and services offered by different school participants including Pangasinan National High School which highlights Electrical Installation and Maintenance; Labrador National High School with Beauty Care Services; Sual National High School and Bolinao School of Fisheries with Cookery, and Food and Beverage Services; and Mangatarem National High School and Pangasinan School of Arts and Trade with Bread and Pastry Production. 

Several private entities, such as BDO and Natasha, have also joined the display as a show of appreciation to all valued teachers. 

       Apart from this, all participating schools from day one to three will be competing for a place in the Top 3 Best SHS Exhibit with the following criteria: creativity and innovation, process and skills, marketability, and presentation and communication skills. 

The booths will be adjudged by able representatives from the division office: Dr. Marisol Mamaradlo, Division Physician; Ms. Vannety Kaye Sison, Administrative Officer IV-CAS; and Mrs. Priscilla Mejia, Division Accountant.

Awarding will follow on October 4 during the Culminating Program of the World Teacher’s Day Celebration 2019. The exhibit will run from October 1-4 under the supervision of Dr. Jerry Junio, EPS-Science; Dr. Chelito Fe Angeles, EPS-ALS; Dr. Dulce Tolosa, EPS; and Engr. Arnold Caburnay, Project Development Officer II. Educators and administrators are all encouraged to visit the booths and experience the masterful work of the TVL strand. (Sweetcelle Aira Garcia)



SDO I Pangasinan launches Spiritual and Moral Recovery Program





Highlighting values and character as important foundations of learning, the Schools Division Office I Pangasinan launches its Spiritual and Moral Recovery Program (SMRP), October 1.

The program aims to holistically develop learners by strengthening their virtues and characters as manifested in different spiritual and moral activities and programs that will run for three years.

“We would like to make a difference in the lives of our learners especially so that we are dealing with millennials,” said Dr. Lalaine D. Rosario, Education Program Supervisor in charge of Kindergarten and Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP).

“We hope the all the schools will be one with us in our journey.” Dr. Rosario added encouraging the schools heads and teachers to implement the programs in their respective schools.

The Spiritual and Moral Recovery Program of SDO I Pangasinan enjoins all learners in the division to undertake moral and spiritual activities such as the Three o’ Clock Habit, recollection and retreat, and catechism.

Moreover, the students will also be encouraged to manifest the notable Filipino value of courtesy through the “Simply Mano Po” as they press their forehead against the hand of an elder.

Through the said program, schools are further encouraged to put up meditation corners inside the classrooms where students can read spiritual book and materials, and to observe the conduct of values month celebration in November.

In 2019 WTD SDO 1 awards Bayaning Guro






Grade 10 teacher bagged the top spot and hailed as 2019 Bayaning Guro during the Division-Wide World Teachers’ Day (WTD) Celebration at Sison Auditorium, Lingayen, October 1, 2019.



Daniel C. Galzote from Sual National High School implemented project “SAVE ME - Stop Addiction Vices and Enlighten Mankind Extensively" and ranked first from among the 11 finalist.

Following the top spot is Bonnie R. De Guzman from Urbiztondo National High Schools who worked on “Preserving DepEd Core Values, Optimizing Nation-Building, Wakening Aspiring Leaders, Empowering Youth and Raising Awareness on SDG."

The third spot was shared among three finalists namely Alder Gian-King Amir B. Abdalla, Dr. Elma S. De Vera, and Dr. Cristina S. Doria, who worked on Innovative and Nurturing Dance Activities for Kids (INDAK), Cleaning and Reading Program Kids’ Care and Arapan Mo, Linisan Mo Community Projects, and Series of Outreach Programs in Different Levels, respectively.

Meanwhile, other representatives presented their initiative to help and reach the community through their relevant and innovative outreach projects.

They were awarded Bayani sash and their framed picture as Symbols of Heroism. Aside from these, each of them will receive LED televisions.
