Schools Division of Pangasinan II – The Department of Education (DepEd) recently released the official result of December 2017 Principal’s Test.
Out of the 20,653 takers of the Principal’s Test, there were 5,111 passed. The 2017 Principal’s Test posted a passing rate of 24.75 % —a significant increase compared to the last Principal’s Test results.
Grant B. Gubatan, a Head Teacher of Don Gregorio I. Magno Elementary School tied on top spot with Rhoda O. dela Cruz from Region 4A.
Gubatan failed on his first try but as the quote says, “You’re never a loser till you quit trying.” After his failed attempt, he started again his preparation. He enrolled on a review center, joined online review groups on facebook, frequent readings, shared and borrowed review materials from friends and joined group reviews with his peers.
After the results were released, he found out that he passed the exam but has no idea that he was one of the top notchers. He only learned the great surprise when unexpected number of friend requests was sent to his facebook account and numerous messages and greeting were posted on his timeline.
“Just try and try until you succeed. Huwag mawalan ng pag-asa kasi may plan ang Panginoon. But of course, dapat nakaprepare physically, mentally, emotionally sa pagtake na exam.” This was his message to all teachers out who lost hope to retake the exam.
